We have broken our Ayurvedic Treatments up into 2 sections: Healing Treatment Programs and Single Treatments. You may want to under go a full healing period or you may want to receive treatments on an ad hoc basis while you are staying with us. We have marked which treatments are available as single treatments beside each name.

It is strongly recommended that you complete an entire healing programme to maximise the benefits of traditional Ayurvedic healing systems. Single Ayurvedic treatments are, however, very effective.

Healing Treatment Programs:

REJUVENATION PROGRAM Rasayana Chikilsa (7 days €275 /14 days €550) / Package
In this treatment, 2-4 therapists massage the clients with hands and feet using medicated oil and creams and a medicated steam bath. The treatment lasts for 90 minutes per day for the duration of the healing period. Rasayana Chikilsa is used for rejuvinating the body, mind and spirit, tones up the skin, strengthens all bodily systems and works for long life and perfect health.

BODY DETOX PROGRAM Shodhana Chikilsa (7 days €300 / 14 days €600) / Package
This process aims to purify the whole body to attain balance in all the elements and bodily systems. During the healing period, treatments will include body massage, Snehapanam, Nasyam, Abhyangam, Kizhi, Vasthi, Dhara, Pizhichil, Thalapothichil, Virechanam, Steam bath and other internally administered medicines will be given.

LIVE LONG, LIVE YOUNG PROGRAM Kayakalap Chikilsa (28 days €1,100) / Package
This is a major treatment package in the Ayurvedic medicine system. It slows down the ageing process, stops the degeneration of cells in the body, and boosts the immune system. Administering Rasyana (a special medicine) internally is the main part of the treatment but during the 28 days, the client will also undergo all of the following: body massage, Snehapanam, Nasyam, Dhara, Pizhichil, Thalapothichil, Kizhi, Abhyangam and medicated steam bath. (see single treatment list below for details). This treatment is good for men and women of all ages who want to live long and live young!

PSORIASIS TREATMENT PROGRAM Sidhma Chikilsa (21 days €1,000)
This treatment is very effective in treating all types of Psoriasis. The programme will include Lepanam, Abhyangam, Snehapanam, Pizhichil, medicated steam bath and. Clients will also be prescribed specific and especially prepared internal herbal medicines.

WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM (21 days €750 / 28 days €1,000) / Package
This programme involves 2 different types of massage using powders and oils, treatment using the medicated steam bath and a specifically prescribed mix of herbal juices and herbal teas. A very important part of the treatment is the special Ayurvedic diet which will be advised specifically for each client. It includes diet, Udvarthanam, Abhyangam, Padabhyangam, Kizhi, Sreambath & Yoga, etc

BODY BEAUTIFUL PROGRAM (10 days €550) / Package
This treatment is to improve skin tone and complexion and also improves the overall body condition. The programme involves herbal face packs, herbal cream massage, herbal oil massages, medicated steam bath treatments and herbal tea prescriptions. The ultimate bodily treat. It includes Abhyamgam, Dhara, Kizhi, facepack, Thalapothichil, steambath etc...

SPINAL CARE PROGRAM (10 days €500)
This programme is to promote overall spinal health - preventing potential problems in the future and treating already existing spinal complaints. Special massages, Kativasthi, Snehavasthi, Kashayavasthi, Pizhichil, Njavarakizhi are all included in the programme and a series of specific daily excercises will be advised which will be according to each client’s condition.

Pizhichil(14 days €550) [single treatment available = €47]
This treatment involves the application of lukewarm, herbal oils to the entire body. The oil is applied by 2 - 4 therapists in a scientific and rhythmic way for about 60-90 minutes per day for the duration of the treatment programme. Pizhichil treats all rheumatic illnesses such as arthritis, paralysis, paralysis-agitanus and hemiplegia. It is also used to treat impotence, reduced libido and nervous disorders.

Dhara (14 days €250) [single treatment available = €25]
Herbal oils are slowly and constantly applied to the forehead for about 45 minutes by 2 therapists each day for the duration of the healing period. Dhara treats insomnia, mental tension and certain skin disorders.

Kizhi (14 days €250)
Herbal mixtures are applied to the body every day for 45 minutes for the duration of the healing period. The heated herbal mixtures are applied to the entire body using mesh boluses which contain the herbs. This treatment is effective for osteoarthritis, arthritis, spondilosis and joint injuries.

Dhanyamla Dhara (14 days €50)
Warmed, special herbal liquid are poured over the entire body in a rhythmic way using the Dhara technique. This treatment lasts for about 45 minutes and is administered daily for the duration of the healing period. The treatment is effective for rheumatic complaints, paralysis and other nervous system disorders.

Abhyangam (14 days €100) [single treatment available=€10]
This treatment uses a specialised massage technique where the pressure is applied to different are as according to the specific complaint. The treatment is administered each day for 1 hour. This is especially effective for obesity and obesity, dermatitis complaints etc .

Udvarthanam(14 days €200) [single treatment available=€20]
This is a treatment which involves massage with a herbal powder for 45 minutes daily for the duration of the healing period. It is effective for complaints such as hemiplegia, paralysis, obesity and certain rheumatic ailments.

Nasyam(14 days €50) [single treatment available = €5]
In this treatment, various herbal juices or medicated oils are administered through the nose each day for the duration of the healing period. It is highly effective in treating headaches, paralysis, mental disorders and some types of skin disease.

Vasthi (14 days €150) [single treatment available = €15]
This treatment involves the administering of herbal oils and certain herbal extracts through the anal outlet each day for the entire healing period. This is known to be effective in treating arthritis, paralysis, hemiplegia, numbness, stomach complaints associated with rheumatism and other stomach disorders such as constipation.

Njavarakizhi (14 days €500) [single treatment available = €50]
This treatment involves the application of certain medicinal mixtures through the use of boluses which are rubbed over the whole body by 2 - 4 therapists. The special application and mixture of herbs and medicines enduces sweating in the effected parts of the body and sometime the entire body, depending on the client’s condition. It lasts for about 60-90 minutes daily for the duration of the healing period and is used to treat rheumatism, joint pain and certain skin disorders.

Sirovasthi (7 days €200)
In this treatment, various herbal oils are heated and poured into a cap which is fixed on the head. This is poured and left for 15-60 minutes per day, depending on the clients’s condition, for the duration of the healing period. This treatment is used for facial paralysis, dryness of nostrils, mouth and throat and severe headaches.

Snehapanam(7 days €100)
Medicated ghee is given internally in an exact quantity on a daily basis for the duration of the healing period. This treatment is for osteoarthritis, psoriasis and leukaemia.

Single Treatments:

General Massage (€25) - relaxing and rejuvenating 1 hour massage. One of our ayurvedic treatment team will work using traditional ayurvedic massage techniques over the entire body including the head, back, neck, legs, feet, arms and hands to clear away all aches and pains and help you to relax, feel healthy and leave the treatment feeling significantly renewed.

Tharpanam (€5 - for 1 day) - 3-5 days. In this treatment oil, ghee or other medicines are poured into the eyes and retained inside a herbal paste boundary. It strengthens the optie nerve, increases eye sight, good treatment for all types or eye disorders.

Mukhalepam (€5) - this herbal face pack treatment reduces wrinkles and also prevents them, skin tone improves and the eye area is rejuvinated. The face pack is made up of special herbs and fresh cream.

Kativasthi (€16) - in this treatment a circular wall made up of a herbal paste is set up on the lower back to hold specially prepared lukewarm medicated oils. The treatment lasts for 45 mins to 1 hour and helps with back pain and spinal disorders.

Urovasthi (€21) - similar to Kativasthi but the circular wall is set up on the chest, this helps with asthma, heart disease, muscular chest pain and other respiratory related problems. Again this lasts for approximately 45 minutes.
 
Ksheeradhoomam (€5) - this treatment uses fermented cow’s milk to treat the facial area. It helps with Bell’s palsy, speech disorders and other nervous disorders that affect the face.

Shirodhara - Some herbal oils, medicated milk, medicated butter milk etc are pouredon the forehead in special way for about 45 min. It's indicated in insomnia,mental tension, vatha dominant diseases etc

Lepanam (€9) - a medicated herbal paste is created and applied to the affected area. It helps with any joint inflammation or other swellings.

Yoga and Meditation (€5 / session) - yoga and meditation are offered on a daily basis, early in the morning and early in the evening. Guests should contact reception for details.
